Darkwing's Second Birthday
This year Darkwing's second anniversary was paired with the first show of the Year!
it was a highly successful day as I put numerous argentes on the table for judging and everyone was well received. I am looking forward to a fantastic showing year ahead and hope to achieve my first championship by the end of the year.
I am selling out of the Lemon/Lilac Argentes. $150 for the lot (2 boars, 2 sows with babies)

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY DARKWING!!!!
This February Darkwing Cavies celebrated its first birthday!
It was a hard year of hard losses, some of which are yet to be fully explained. We are down some true characters but we have plenty more now to add to the family with the introduction of our gorgeously entitled pet texel and the arrival of a trio of excellent Abyssinians to get me going in the coarse-coat sector. I have a strong team featuring a wide variety of colours, varieties and combinations including a satin crested throwback sow. The ball is very much in motion now and i am putting a great deal more effort into exhibition now that I've decided to apply for judges training. Last year was dismal thanks to the lice... which are now back, the parasites! (shakes fists at those who sold me infested animals). Caution to those who exhibit under me in future i have ZERO tolerance to the exhibition of sick, infectious or infested animals so be warned to get that lice under control people. Now that I have that off my chest I'm all smiles again as i look forward to the year ahead. |
A special thank you to those breeders who have or intend to provide me with suitable foundation stock.
The stud has a number of excellent cavies to serve as foundation stock and a hand full... or is it an arm
full of varied qualities and challenges.
Breeding and pedigrees will seem backwards for the first few generations while I add the ingredients to
the pot and weed out the undesirables but give me a couple of years ( mostly thinking of the argentes
here) and the stud will be in full swing!
Future projects... far flung perhaps... is more ticked varieties and American Crested
